The gig was promoted by the London Colney-based Words agency run by promoter Barry Clarke. The source cassette was in the possession of drummer Charlie Chandler and was recorded on his Philips portable cassette recorder from a vantage point in the hall. The cassette bears the inscription 'Rob, Brian, Rog \u0026amp; Me, Sound - Scott, Recording - Dan', which confirms Lifeblud's line-up. Scott and Dan were roadie\/luthier Gordon 'Scott' Adams and bassist friend Dan K. Brown, latterly of The Fixx. By this time, violinist Robin Williams' appearances with the band had become somewhat sporadic due to his orchestral and sessions commitments, and he was not present on this occasion.
