The twentieth edition of the Musica Sacromontana festival presents a rare opportunity to rediscover masterpieces preserved in the archives of the Philippine Fathers' sanctuary in Gostyn. Composed four decades apart, these two litanies trace the development of a Central European Classical idiom enriched by local traditions-from the lucid architecture and elegant contrasts of Zeidler to the heightened dramatic expression and virtuoso writing of Wanski. Led by the musicians of Capella Musica Gnesnensis and an outstanding team of soloists, this performance combines stylistic vitality with expressive depth, revealing the artistic richness and enduring appeal of these long-neglected works.
