Ticket Description
Formed at the Royal College of Music in 2012, the Ferio Saxophone Quartet has since developed an extraordinary breadth of repertoire, which allows the members to draw from an unusually wide range of musical styles and periods in their highly engaging concert programmes. For this it's fifth album for Chandos, the group pays tribute to the country in which the saxophone really come into it's own - the United States of America. The programme features a wide range of composers, from Joplin to Bernstein, in works composed between 1908 and 1957, and also shines a light on wonderful arrangements by James Boatman, Christoph Enzel, Iain Farrington, John Harle, and Nigel Wood.
