And yet few or any of those who bought the sweetly-rendered record at the time could have been aware that despite her tender age, Marie Pierre was in fact already something of a seasoned professional whose experience both in the recording studio and on the live scene stretched back years. In time, her hit record, produced by the UK's premier reggae producer, Dennis 'Blackbeard' Bovell, would become a staple of the lovers rock sound and when, over the months that immediately followed it's release, a number of similarly impressive singles further demonstrated the extent of her talent.
