Released in 2000, Declaration of a Headhunter arrived at a pivotal moment in heavy music. While rap-metal was reaching mainstream popularity, Stuck Mojo continued to chart their own course, delivering an album that balanced crushing groove metal riffs, socially conscious lyrics, hardcore attitude, and memorable songwriting. Rather than following trends, the band refined and strengthened the sound they had helped pioneer years earlier.Produced by Andy Sneap, the album captures Stuck Mojo at the height of their creative powers. Tracks such as ""Set The Tone,"" ""Raise The Deadman,"" ""Declaration,"" and ""The Ward Is My Shepherd"" combine massive riffs, infectious grooves, and sharp lyrical commentary into a powerful statement that remains every bit as relevant and hard-hitting today as it was upon it's original release. For many fans, Declaration of a Headhunter represents one of the strongest releases in the band's catalog. The album expanded the band's audience while maintaining the heaviness, authenticity, and aggressive edge that had earned them a devoted following. It's unique blend of groove metal, rap-metal, and hard rock helped distinguish Stuck Mojo from the growing number of bands entering the genre at the turn of the millennium. This Brutal Planet Records CD edition brings this influential release back into circulation for a new generation of listeners and longtime fans alike. Officially licensed from Century Media Records and limited to just 500 copies worldwide, it features the original album artwork, a 12-page booklet, and the bonus track ""Reborn."" More than two decades after it's original release, Declaration of a Headhunter remains a powerful example of why Stuck Mojo helped shape the sound of modern heavy music.
