Soren Sieg is undoubtedly a unique figure among contemporary composers: Steering clear of the expected paths of the avant-garde, he has created a musical language - composed of entirely tonal, rhythmically refreshing music often inspired by African culture - that has since garnered a growing fan base around the world. The large family of recorders almost always plays the leading role in his music, so it is only fitting that the Flanders Recorder Duo is now dedicating an entire album to his music - with the composer at the piano and featuring works that are all world premiere recordings in this form and are sure to pique the curiosity of music love!
